Listen was an emotional-AI product — software that interprets how someone sounds, not just what they say. Designing for it meant designing for a machine’s reading of feeling, which is a genuinely strange brief. Get the tone wrong and the whole thing reads as either clinical or invasive.
We built out the identity and the interface across iOS and web, working from research into how people actually talk about their own emotional states rather than from the taxonomy the model happened to use.
The visual language leans on gradient and softness deliberately. A product that claims to hear how you feel should not look like a dashboard.
